Abstract William F. Slocum (1888-1917), pastor of the First Congregational Church in Baltimore, Maryland, became the president of Colorado College in 1888. Slocum was a graduate of Amherst College and Andover Theological Seminary. During his presidency, the college grew from 50 students to 500 and from a single building to sixteen.
