Abstract

Richard "Dick" Celeste (2002-2011) was a former U.S. ambassador to India, director of the Peace Corps, and two-term governor of Ohio. He graduated magna cum laude from Yale University and was a Rhodes Scholar. In addition to his elected and appointed positions, he was managing partner of Celeste and Sabety Ltd., an economic development consultancy, from 1991 to 1997. Celeste has been a visiting fellow in public policy at Case Western Reserve University, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and chair of the National Governors Association Committee on Science and Technology. He HAS also chaired the Government-University-Industry Research Roundtable and has been a board member of Habitat for Humanity International, the Leadership Institute at the University of Southern California, and numerous other not-for-profit organizations.
