Abstract
Lloyd E. Worner, president of the Colorado College from 1963-1981, graduated in 1937 from the Missouri Military Academy in Mexico, Missouri. He attended Washington and Lee University for several years before enrolling at the Colorado College, where he received his A.B. in 1942. Worner acquired both his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri. He accepted an appointment in the Colorado College History Department in 1946. By 1955 he was a full professor and had become Dean of the College. Worner became the president of Colorado College in 1963.
